I’ve wanted to do this review for quite awhile not only because I’m a huge fan of Brad’s work but also because of the fact that I love intermittent fasting.
Now I know from personal experience and from what the science shows that intermittent fasting is effective at doing all kinds of positive things to our health. The main question I’m going to cover today however is whether or not Brad’s Eat-Stop-Eat is worth the price of admission.
Before we get into the review, if you are completely new to intermittent fasting check out the video below as it will give you a good introduction to the topic as well as give you a general idea of what to expect from intermittent fasting.
Alright so now that’s all out of the way and you have a general idea of what intermittent fasting is let’s go into my actual review of Eat-Stop-Eat.
What is it?
Eat-Stop-Eat is a program/book that basically claims to tell you everything that you need to know about intermittent fasting.
After purchasing the book sometime last year I had to re-read it for this review so that everything was still fresh in my head.
I can honestly say that Eat-Stop-Eat is definitely the most compact guide there is on intermittent fasting. In fact when anyone asks me about intermittent fasting I usually direct them to Brad’s work just because everything you need to know is in his book.
The book itself has recently been revised at it was first published in 2007 which was quite a long time ago. This just shows how long intermittent fasting has been around even though its just now starting to really get popular. It’s a good read and took me around 1-2 hours to go through the complete book.
The information is solid and very informative as well as backed up by research and actual facts. If your goal is to learn about intermittent fasting and start incorporating it into your life Eat-Stop-Eat will surely give you everything you need to know.
At the time of writing this review it’s almost Christmas so you can grab the book at a holiday sale price of only $10. If Eat-Stop-Eat was always at this price then I’d say go grab it no questions asked. Now the original price on the websites says $49 which sounds a little bit more reasonable.
As far as price goes its a little bit higher for just a ebook however it is good quality information and like I mentioned before I’ve yet to come across anything on the web that is a better resource for learning how to do intermittent fasting correctly.
My recommendation is to grab Eat-Stop-Eat now if you can cause intermittent fasting is just that good. If you can’t afford the price add it to your someday maybe list and when you get some free spending cash I would highly consider picking up yourself a copy.
What I Don’t Like
The only thing about Eat-Stop-Eat that I am not a huge fan of is the actual presentation of the information and the product itself. The book is well written like I mentioned earlier but is on a simple white background with black text. Kind of boring if you ask me.
Easy to read but at the same time it lacks inspiration. Now this can also be less distracting and to the point so for some people this can be a benefit.
Personally I would have liked a product that was a little bit more engaging or easier on the eyes but as this is the only real negative thing about this book I can’t complain too much.
Who Do I Recommend This For?
Although fasting may seem like an advanced technique and it kind of is the people who are going to get the most benefit from it are those who are beginners to the health and weight loss industry.
For example if you are someone who is overweight and you are looking for something to start doing to change your situation, intermittent fasting is a good place to start.
On the topic of starting intermittent fasting its really not as hard as it might seem. When I did my first fast I went 24 hours but I was hardcore back then. This did open my eyes to my eating habits and I learned a lot about myself but nowadays I rarely go over 16-18 hours on my fasts which is perfectly fine.
The nice thing about intermittent fast is that even 12 hours is a good place to start and if you approach it strategically this is a very easy thing to do.
Nonetheless if you always wanted to jump on the intermittent fasting bandwagon and I highly recommend that you do because of the many health benefits it provides, Eat-Stop-Eat is the best resource on the topic I’ve come across on the web so far.
