Today we are going to get a little bit tropical and try a green smoothie recipe that is a little bit different then what I usually share on this blog. Here is the recipe for my Creamy Avocado Pineapple Green Smoothie.
- 2 cups of almond milk
- 1 avocado
- 2 cups of spinach
- 2 cups of pineapple chunks
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
You will notice that instead of a banana I choose to use an avocado instead which also does the job quite nicely. Depending on how much almond milk you use this smoothie might come out a little bit on the chunky side. If you are like me and prefer not to eat your smoothie with a spoon, after your done blending grab a spoon and stir your smoothie around so that the fruit forms with the liquid a little bit better.
Other then the avocado this smoothie has everything you would expect, there’s spinach for greens, pineapple for the fruit, and chia seeds for a nice source of protein and healthy fats. I also added a teaspoon of honey if desired. If you feel this smoothie needs a little bit of extra sweetness go ahead and add a little bit of honey, organic if possible of course.
Try this smoothie out and give it a share if you enjoyed it! Please let me know what you think in the comments section below!
